The Black Student Union (BSU) at Gateway High School is a vibrant, student-led organization designed to provide a sense of community, empowerment, and cultural pride for Black students. The BSU serves as a platform for students to connect, discuss important issues, and celebrate their heritage.
At Gateway High School, the BSU engages in a variety of activities, including hosting Black History Month events, organizing cultural performances, and facilitating discussions on social justice topics. The group also participates in community service projects, school-wide initiatives for diversity and inclusion, and invites guest speakers to engage with students on relevant issues.
The main goals of the BSU at Gateway are to support Black students, promote unity and awareness, and encourage social activism. Through these efforts, the BSU strives to create a welcoming environment where students can freely express themselves and work together toward a more inclusive school culture.
Connect with like-minded students and exchange ideas, resources, and support. Our community is a great place to ask questions, get feedback, and share your knowledge with others. While growing and building relationships with others.
